Anxiety Panic Attacks

Anxiety panic attacks can be overcome with patience, hope, and support.  A panic disorder is when you are subject to recurring severe panic attacks.  And although there are more people who suffer from panic attacks then drug abusers or alcoholics, only about 25% of the population actually seeks professional help.  Some, who suffer from panic attacks, suffer only when faced with a particular type of event.  While anti-anxiety medications can reduce the incidence and severity of panic attacks, they come with their own risks which can include serious side effects and addiction.

Panic Attacks

Panic attacks are sudden surges of overwhelming fear that that comes without warning and without any obvious reason.  One out of every 75 people worldwide will experience a panic attack at one time in their lives.  Panic attacks can occur at anytime, anywhere, during the day or night, waking someone up from a sound sleep.  Before you can control your panic attacks, you must be able to remain somewhat calm during a panic attack.  This website contains much of the most recent and panic attacks related information available and is updated regularly as more research becomes available.

Anxiety Symptoms

Symptoms include feelings of increased tension, helplessness, inadequacy, fear, distress and worry.  During or panic attacks, sufferers can also experience two very disturbing symptoms called depersonalization and derealization.  These physical attack symptoms are usually accompanied by strange or depressing thoughts and feelings of despair.  In order to effectively reverse the formation of attacks it is vital that the subconscious

mind is taught to react to in a more appropriate way so that the 'benchmark' level is lowered; this will prevent sufferers from experiencing the symptoms, thoughts and sensations they tolerate every day such as attacks, panic attacks, OCD and phobias.  Knowing what attack symptoms encompass can prevent some embarrassing moments.

Health and Stability

The ability to relax your body and calm you mind is necessary for health and well-being.  One common misconception about is that most people think of it as a bad thing, but it's really just a normal reaction to stress and is perfectly healthy.  New research shows that everyday stress may trigger a depressed mood in healthy individuals that leads to fatigue, minor sadness, and a "blue" mood.  Diet and nutrition, regular physical activity, and sleep wellness are several factors that promote neurotransmitter health.  A balanced lifestyle takes each of these factors into consideration and creates a healthy foundation for emotional stability and elevated mood.

Treatment for Panic Attacks

Treatment for panic attacks might include a combination of different techniques.  The conventional treatments for disorders including panic attacks and phobias include cognitive behavior therapy and medication.  Whatever you’re personal level of and/or panic attacks, the cause and treatment are the same.  Medications alone may simply cover up those feelings that are causing these attacks, and as a result may not be as an effective treatment in bringing about a complete cure.  Only a qualified healthcare professional can provide you with a correct diagnosis and recommend treatment options.
